When I was 6 I was lucky enough to be an extra at an operahouse in Poland. Daily, I was surrounded by magnificent costumes and over time what was a young girl's dream, became my passion.
For me, costume design is not just about the shape and the fabric, but about its attention to detail. The stains on the cuffs, the pin in the hair, the dirt on the shoes that give a character an inner life. I go through a thorough research process on every design, if designing period dress, ensuring that the contemporary eye can relate to the historic.
I hope to transfer the skills I have gained during my Master’s degree into work as a costume designer and supervisor in theatre, TV and film.
